Excellent organization, the ski instructors are top-notch!
Everything was great, my wife and son were very satisfied with the teacher.
I can wholeheartedly recommend the snowboard course at G&S Snow Sports School in Mitterndorf. It was perfect for my 7-year-old son. Despite booking at the last minute (just one day before), everything was organized smoothly and without any problems. The snowboard instructor was incredibly patient, motivating, and great with kids. The course was age-appropriate, safe, and not only taught my child how to snowboard but also provided tons of fun in the snow. Absolutely recommended!!!
You should wear warm clothing suitable for winter sports. Other accessories such as gloves, a ski mask and sunglasses are strongly recommended.
You must arrive at the first lesson with your equipment (skis and poles or snowboard, and boots). If you do not have your own equipment, make sure to allow enough time to collect it from the rental shop so as not to delay the start of the lesson. Some shops even offer the option of collecting equipment the day before your first day of hire.
Wearing a helmet is compulsory for children in some countries, but it is strongly recommended for everyone, regardless of age.
Unless otherwise stated, you must have your ski pass with you for the first lesson. You can usually buy one at the ski lift office or online. Discounted rates may be available for children or beginners, so check with your ski school to find out which pass is most suitable.
Generally, it is advisable to book lessons as early as possible. This is especially important during school holidays, such as Christmas and February, when lessons can fill up quickly.
Yes, the minimum age to participate in the snowboarding lessons is 6 years.
Lunch supervision can be booked on-site for an additional fee of €18 per hour, but only at the Mitterdorf location. This service is not available in Freyung and Waldhäuser.
The meeting point depends on your chosen location. In Mitterdorf and Waldhäuser, it's at the ski school office. In Freyung (Solla), it's at the bottom station of the Solla ski lift. You should arrive 30 minutes before the lesson starts.
Yes, there are free car parks available just a few steps away from the meeting points.
Yes, courses for people with disabilities are available upon request. After booking, you should contact the ski school directly to discuss the options.
