We meet at Geißkopf near the Forsthauslift at the ski school Sepp Schneider.
Which ski school is the best one for me to attend? ...
The ski course was really great. Everyone was very nice and the ski instructor explained everything well. I'll definitely come back and do an advanced course. :)
A fantastic ski school! The group course was extremely beneficial, as the instructor gave individual attention to each participant. Our young son was also very well looked after in the children's course and has already made noticeable progress.
You should wear warm clothing suitable for winter sports. Other accessories such as gloves, a ski mask and sunglasses are strongly recommended.
You must arrive at the first lesson with your equipment (skis and poles or snowboard, and boots). If you do not have your own equipment, make sure to allow enough time to collect it from the rental shop so as not to delay the start of the lesson. Some shops even offer the option of collecting equipment the day before your first day of hire.
Wearing a helmet is compulsory for children in some countries, but it is strongly recommended for everyone, regardless of age.
Unless otherwise stated, you must have your ski pass with you for the first lesson. You can usually buy one at the ski lift office or online. Discounted rates may be available for children or beginners, so check with your ski school to find out which pass is most suitable.
Generally, it is advisable to book lessons as early as possible. This is especially important during school holidays, such as Christmas and February, when lessons can fill up quickly.
The groups consist of a maximum of 6 participants.
The lessons take place in the Geißkopf ski area, located in the Bavarian Forest.
As a beginner, you will learn the basics of skiing, including how to stop safely and use your skis correctly.
As an advanced skier, you will focus on improving your technique, skiing parallel, and mastering steeper slopes.
The meeting point is at the ski school at the Forsthauslift, 15 minutes before the lessons start.
