On this 9.2 km canoe tour from Viechtach to Höllensteinsee, you will experience Bavarian Canada at its best. This very easy tour is perfect for beginners and families. Relaxed paddling on the Schwarzer Regen river and uniquely beautiful natural landscapes await you! This tour is our scenic highlight. Tour programme - Preparation: Our meeting point for this canoe tour is in Viechtach close to the bus stop Volksfestplatz, 30 minutes before the tour starts. You can park your car comfortably next to our base. You can find the free parking area at Blossersberger Straße 2, which is about 500 meters from the designated canoe entry point. As soon as you arrive, we start with an intensive briefing on safety, the route, environmental protection and paddling technique. We also hand out the life jackets and paddles. To help you find the route without a guide, we also give you a route description in the canoe. If you have booked a guide, he will of course accompany you during the tour and show you the route. - Tour: Your tour takes you 9,2 km along the Schwarze Regen river from Viechtach to the lake Höllensteinsee. The Schwarze Regen river is a paradise for nature lovers, as it represents one of the last and most beautiful wild river landscapes in all of Bavaria. There are hardly any hiking trails in this area, so the best way to explore it is by canoe. This untouched nature also gives the region its name: Bavarian Canada. By the way, the river gets its name from the moor-like soil. This is the reason for the dark, almost black color of the soil, which also makes the water appear dark. In reality, however, the water is very clear. Your tour takes you past the Liebesfelsen (meaning love rock) and the Viechtach waterfall. Legend has it that if a man is brave enough to jump off the Liebesfelsen rock for a woman, he can then finally win that woman. So if you have a sweetheart who does not love you back yet, you can take a jump! - Return: Your canoe tour ends after 2.5 hours of easy paddling at the Höllensteinsee. Here we will pick you and the canoes up and bring you comfortably back to the starting point in Viechtach.
