Join our boat trip around Ischia abord of our typical fast sailing-ship characteristic of the southern Italian tradition, the goletta, which will bring you to the best spots of this volcanic island in the Gulf of Naples. Our friendly local staff will accompany you during the tour and will share with you a lot of facts about the area, that they know like the back of their hand.
After our departure from the port of Forio, we will head to the sandy beach of Citara. Here,we will stop to swim and snorkel in the crystal-clear water and to enjoy a fresh aperitif on board. Our next destination will be the ancient fishing village of Sant'Angelo, where we will stop for about 45 minutes and our staff will serve you a delicious starter.
Afterwards, we will sail towards the beautiful caves of Ischia and we will discover the south-eastern part of the island. After passing the coast, we will sail along the bays of Scarrupata and Punta San Pancrazio and reach the Green Grotto and Grotta del Mago. This cave wasnamed after a wise magician ("mago" in Italian) who, according to a legend, appeases fishermen and makes fishing sessions around the cave particularly profitable. We had booked the sailboat for €80. Once we arrived at the port, we discovered we had to transfer to another boat (not a sailboat) because the one we had booked was full. Aside from this (which was important to us because we had booked specifically to go on the sailboat), the staff was extremely friendly, we ate and drank very well, and the trip was uneventful. My partner and I went on the boat trip expecting to have a wonderful day. And so it was.
