The boats will depart from the town of Stresa, where you can start your navigation towards the archipelago. The destinations are Isola Madre, Isola dei Pescatori and Isola Bella. Isola Madre is the largest of the three and is distinguished by its unspoilt nature and the enchanting shades of colour it provides during the course of the day. On the island is the Palazzo Borromeo, which with its botanical garden will take you back in time to a completely tropical atmosphere. The second island worth visiting is Isola dei Pescatori (Fishermen's Island), whose name originates from the activity its inhabitants used to carry out. It is the only island that is still inhabited and here you can enjoy a good local fish lunch.

You can conclude your tour by visiting Isola Bella, named after Isabella d'Adda, wife of Carlo III Borromeo. This place will take you back in time thanks to its Italian-style garden, where you can admire peacocks and pheasants roaming freely in the greenery.
