Details
If you are on holiday in the south of Sardinia, and would like to try a new sport, our discover scuba diving programme in the Capo Carbonara reserve from Villasimius is perfect for you. This is a great way to explore the Capo Carbonara Marine Protected Area, admiring the wonderful fauna while breathing underwater and experiencing weightlessness. It is perfect for first timers, as you will be accompanied by a certified dive guide who will take you to a depth of 5 metres.
Dive area
Generally, dive takes place between the Cavoli and Serpentara islands, the exact spot depends on sea currents and weather conditions. These are good starting points for beginners; you will gradually descend in depth as you get used to the equipment. You will have the chance to see turtles, octopuses, sponges, starfishes and many types of fish.
Programme
We meet at our office at the Villasimius touristic port at the time indicated on the booking. From here you will board our RIB boat, and we will reach the dive site between the islands of Cavoli and Serpentara. On the way, you will be able to admire the wonderful Corsican seagull, which is on the verge of extinction and whose population is recovering in this region. Here, our guide will explain how to put on and use the equipment before entering the water and reaching a depth of 5 metres. You will be personally supervised by the guide, who will show you the basic techniques for diving in the deep sea in about 30 minutes. We will then return to our diving centre, where you can retrieve your personal belongings.
