Details
If you wish to explore one of Sardinia's most wonderful Marine Protected Area, our snorkeling trip in Capo Carbonara natural reserve from Villasimius is perfect for you. You will dive into the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea, observing the area's autochthonous fauna accompanied by a qualified marine biologist, who will tell you all about the wildlife and the efforts to protect this corner of paradise.
Snorkeling site
During the boat journey you can admire the beautiful, endangered Corsican seagull, whose population is recovering in this region. Underwater, you will be able to observe octopuses, sponges, starfish and countless fish in their natural habitat, which are typical of this nature reserve, and learn from your guide how these creatures are treated and their behaviour. We recommend the activity for children aged 3 and over.
Programme
We will meet at our office at the Villasimius touristic port at the scheduled time. Before boarding, we will introduce you to the fauna and flora of the Capo Carbonara Marine Protected Area that you will be able to spot during the trip. Afterwards, we will reach the Capo Carbonara reserve, in the area between the islands of Cavoli and Serpentara, where you will dive to admire the wonderful seabed. At the end of the trip we will return to Villasimius.
