Immerse yourself in the beautiful landscape of the Ligurian Riviera with an exclusive boat trip in the Gulf of Poets, so called because many poets and writers have found inspiration in these beautiful lands. On board our elegant gozzo, you decide where to stop to admire the view or swim in the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean.
Departing from La Spezia, our first stop will be Lerici, where we will admire the imposing Lerici Castle, built between the 12th and 14th centuries. Here the beauty of the landscape has attracted many artists and writers over the years, including Lord Byron, the famous English Romantic poet, who settled there in 1822. Afterwards, we will continue navigating to the ancient village of Tellaro, and then move offshore to the islands of Tino and Tinetto. Together with the Cinque Terre and Porto Venere, since 1997 these islands have been part of the UNESCO World Heritage List because of their historical importance and the preservation of the surrounding marine environment. Also nearby is the beautiful Palmaria Island with its caves and hidden coves and the imposing Church of San Pietro, which rises majestically above the sea.
On the other side of the coast, we will find Lord Byron's famous Grotto, where the poet often visited during his stay in Lerici. Our excursion will end with the return trip to La Spezia, passing by the characteristic colourful houses of Porto Venere, but not before enjoying a delicious apéritif of local products.
