What to Expect

Experience a delightful day trip exploring Lithakia Village and the Anafonitria Monastery, complete with an olive oil tasting adventure. Your first stop is the charming Lithakia village, where you will visit the Aristeon olive oil press and museum. Here, you will learn about both traditional and modern olive oil production methods. You will get to see old machines up close and taste extra virgin olive oil paired with homemade bread, making for a truly immersive experience.

Next, the tour continues to Porto Schiza, offering breathtaking views that are sure to leave you in awe. You will have time to relax at a café by the bay, enjoying coffee, refreshments, and local desserts while taking memorable photos. As the bus drives through the western mountainous part of the island, you will pass through traditional villages like Kiliomeno, Agios Leontas, Exo Chora, and Maries. A special highlight is seeing the oldest olive tree in Exo Chora.

At the historic Anafonitria Monastery, dating back to the 15th century, you will get insights into the life of St. Dionisios and enjoy local products such as Zakynthian raisins, handmade souvenirs, honey, wine, and olive oil. The final stop is at St. Nicholas port, where you can enjoy lunch at a seaside tavern and have the option to visit the Blue Caves by boat. The return journey along Zakynthos's eastern coast ensures you are back at your resort by the afternoon, concluding a day full of rich cultural experiences and stunning scenery.
