Kids Ski Lessons (3-5 y.) for First Timers - Vienna (Hohe Wand Wiese)

What to Expect

Introduce your little ones to the joy of skiing with a fun and gentle ski course for children aged 3–5 at Hohe-Wand-Wiese in Vienna, designed especially for first-time skiers. In small groups of up to six children, our experienced instructors create a playful and supportive environment where kids can get comfortable on skis and build confidence step by step, using playful elements and age-appropriate tasks.

The lesson lasts 2 hours and takes place on an innovative synthetic ski surface, providing a skiing experience that is independent of snow conditions while offering a realistic feel. Children start by getting familiar with their ski equipment and learning how to move on skis. Through fun games and simple exercises, they practise balance, coordination and their first turns in a safe and age-appropriate setting. A 10-minute break is scheduled during the lesson for the kids to rest, eat, and drink.

The ski pass is already included, so you can focus entirely on your child's first skiing experience. The ski school is located in the 14th district of Vienna, allowing kids to learn how to ski directly within the city, and is easily accessible via public transport. For parents arriving by car, there are free parking spaces available directly on site.

Meeting Time

We meet at our rental shop Skiverleih Ötscher Hohe Wand Wiese, 30 minutes before the start of the lesson.

If your child has their own ski equipment: We meet 5 minutes before the start of the lesson directly at the practice area.

Equipment Rental

For rental equipment, please add it to your cart during checkout. The cost is €15 per day, covering skis, sticks, boots, and a helmet, available for use during the lesson only

Ski Pass

The ski pass is included and does not have to be purchased separately

Good to Know

• For the Christmas holidays & school holidays in February, we recommend you book early in advance due to high demand

• Ski equipment is not included in the price of the lesson

• Please make sure your kid has skis, ski boots, helmet, gloves & sunglasses or goggles at the start of the lesson

• During our courses we are always wearing a helmet

• The maximum group size is 6 participants per group
