Step into the fascinating world of scuba diving with our SSI Scuba Diver certification course, designed for adventurers aged 10 and up. Throughout this course, you'll start an exciting journey into the depths of the ocean, discovering the wonders that lie beneath the surface. You'll have theory sessions, covering everything from dive equipment to learning essential safety procedures, you'll gain the knowledge needed to become a confident and competent diver.
During this course, you will do three shallow water practice dives. These dives allow you to familiarize yourself with essential diving skills in a controlled environment. Under the guidance of our experienced instructors, you'll build confidence and proficiency underwater before advancing to deeper dives. As you progress, you'll head out to deeper waters for two exciting open sea dives.
By the end of the course, you'll be a certified Scuba Diver, ready to explore the underwater world with confidence. With your internationally recognized certification, you'll have the freedom to dive up to 12 meters (39 feet) deep, accompanied by a professional instructor. You have the option to meet us directly at Mades Beach or we offer a hotel pickup (upon request). Nearby you'll find parking spots available. Look for us at the beach entrance; you'll see our location marked by many flags and a big van with a diver on it. Upon arrival, you'll be provided with all the necessary diving equipment. At location, we'll review key concepts and safety procedures during a brief theory session. Afterward, you'll have the opportunity to apply what you've learned with a practice dives.
Throughout the course, you'll have the opportunity to complete 3 shallow water dives and 2 open sea dives. In case of bad weather, practice dives will be conducted in a swimming pool. Our small group size, with a maximum of 4 participants per guide, ensures personalized attention and support. The dives will take place on Mades Beach, providing a comfortable environment for learning. Typically, this program spans over two days, with each session lasting approximately four hours. Additionally, SSI often allows students to progress through the course material at their own pace.
