With this trip, you will have the opportunity to sail along the coast on board a vintage sailboat, representing a piece of maritime history. Departing from the port of Scilla, our first stop will be at Favazzina, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim and snorkel in the clear waters. Next, we will explore Grotta del Monaco, famous for its majesty and the legends told by local fishermen. The third cave, Grotta delle Sirene (Mermaids' Cave), is an enchanting place where mermaids are said to have lured sailors with their singing in ancient times. Finally, we will visit the suggestive Grotta delle Rondini (Swallows' Cave), characterised by its special light reflections and the swallows that nest there, creating a magical and serene atmosphere. An amazing experience, I highly reccomend this excursion! Between my partners' love for snorkeling and my obsession with sailboats, this trip seemed like a perfect option. The ride was very smooth and comfortable - my partner, normally quick to seasickness, felt none throughout the journey. There was plenty of space to sit and lounge or to take great photos, even on a fully booked trip. The boat itself is BEAUTIFUL and the rigging and masts kept all of my attention, and the captain was very kind to answer all of my (surely annoying) questions, once he clocked my interest in the topic he kept coming back to share with me interesting facts about the vessel and about sailing in the area which was very sweet. We saw many beautiful scenes and locations throughout the tour, and geting to see some of the caves that we couldnt have seen from shore felt very special. The crew also did a great job of guiding the tour and keeping it engaging, and I felt like I learned a lot about the caves we saw and about the area as a whole. The snorkeling stops were very nice, but definitely not the highlight of the trip - the places we stopped had just about the same aquatic wildlife that you could see on a snorkle at the beach - but the swimming breaks were a great way to break up the journey and cool off. We did however spot a flock of manta rays from the surface on the trip and that is definitely something you wont see at the beach! The crew consisting of the captain and his nephew and young son, were incredibly hospitable and welcoming and I got the impresssion all the passengers felt at home. They delivered an excellent service while also being great company, it was very nice getting to know them and hearing about their previous journeys - and future ones on the horizon. Thank you so much to the captain and his crew for the wonderful time we had on this trip! I will definitely join again if I find myself in Scilla in the future :)
