What to Expect

Explore the underwater world of the Dalmatian coast with this discover scuba diving course in Cavtat. The course is perfect for people with no prior experience who want to try scuba diving. Our experienced instructors will show you the basics about scuba diving, and you will be introduced to essential skills and safety procedures, making sure you feel confident before heading to the open water. The dives usually take place in the shallow waters along the coast, with a maximum depth of 8 meters.

You will receive an introduction and all the equipment you need. The practice sessions take place in various spots like Bobara Cave, Bobara Vrata, or Lokrum Dead Sea, depending on the group's preference. During your dives, you will explore fascinating underwater landscapes and encounter diverse marine life. The theory part of the course is covered by our experienced instructor who shares essential knowledge and ensures you understand the basics thoroughly.

Our dive centre is well-equipped with lockers, changing rooms, and showers for your convenience. The boat used for the dives is either a speedboat or a catamaran. If there's enough capacity, family members or friends who do not dive can join you on the boat. This course promises a safe and exciting introduction to the underwater world, making it an unforgettable experience.

Programme

We meet 30 minutes before the start at our diving center in Cavtat. At the beginning, your instructor will explain everything you need to know about diving, including proper breathing techniques and how to stay underwater effectively. This is also a great time to familiarize yourself with your equipment. Afterward, we will head to our boat together and proceed to one of our beautiful diving locations, chosen based on the weather conditions.

Upon arrival at the diving site, our certified diving instructor will provide an introduction and all the essential information about the site to ensure you are well-prepared for your first dive. Then it's time to dive in and explore! Discover the fascinating marine life and underwater landscape, diving up to a depth of 8 meters. The total duration of the activity, including introduction and preparation time, is approximately 2 hours.

• Minimum age: 12 years

• Swimming ability

• Physical health

• If you wear prescription glasses, you need to be comfortable wearing contact lenses

• Not suitable for toddlers, pregnant women and the elderly

• Not suitable for people with bad heart conditions

• Not recommended for people who suffer from any back problems, or had any back operations

• You should not fly within the next 24 hours after the dive

• If you are arriving by car, there are free parking spaces available right next to our center. However, we recommend messaging us in advance to reserve a spot to ensure availability.
