What to Expect

Enjoy a unique surfing experience with your family or friends at Praia de Vila Praia de Âncora or Praia de Moledo! At the beginning of our surf lessons, you will get to know your experienced surf instructor and receive all the necessary equipment. We then head to the beach for a warm-up session and a briefing on safety rules. After practicing on the beach, it's time to give it a try in the water! You will spend about 1.5 hours in total, with approximately 1 hour in the water, trying out the skills you have just learned.

Our surf school offers facilities such as changing rooms and a safe space where you can store your personal belongings. The course is ideal for both beginners and intermediate surfers. Beginners will learn how to stand and paddle on the surfboard and catch their first waves, while intermediate surfers will refine their skills and learn how to surf left and right.

The surfing lessons take place at the beautiful beaches of Praia de Âncora and Praia de Moledo. These locations offer excellent conditions for surfing, with consistent waves and stunning scenery. Our course program is designed to build your confidence and improve your skills day by day. You will start with the basics and gradually move on to more advanced techniques, ensuring a rewarding and enjoyable experience for everyone.

How To Get There

• Meeting place: We meet either directly at our surf school at Praia de Vila Praia de Âncora or at Praia de Moledo, 10 minutes before the agreed time. If there are more than 4 of you, we can also pick you up from your hotel. If you wish to make use of our pickup service, please contact us after completing the booking.

• Car parks nearby: at the meeting place (free)

Start time

• The start time depends on the tides to ensure the best conditions. Therefore, please plan to allocate some extra time on the day of your surf lesson. Your surf instructor will inform you of the start time and the correct meeting point one day before the lesson (courses can start from 10 a.m.).

Course content

• Theory session on the beach

• The right warm-up

• Practice in the sea: about 1 hour

• Safety rules

• Beginners: learning the take-off technique, paddling on the surfboard and catching first waves

• Intermediate surfers: learning how to surf left and right, try to catch waves by themselves and refining the skills already learnt

• Photos: 5 pictures per person. At a surcharge of €25 for one person, €40 for 2 people and €50 for 3 people, to be paid in cash on site.
