What to expect

Join our boat trip from Tromsø through the breathtaking Ramfjord. Starting from Tromsø, the third-largest city within the Arctic Circle, you will head south to the scenic Ramfjord, which is notable for its distinctive 90-degree bend and rich history, including a Cold War facility. The fjord, which freezes in winter due to freshwater inflows, offers a unique landscape that is sure to captivate your senses. During the trip, we will also cruise past snow-covered mountains and landmarks like the iconic Arctic Cathedral. The boat is equipped with comfortable seating and a covered area, making it an ideal way to explore the stunning landscapes of Northern Norway. Throughout the journey, our personal guides will share their knowledge of local culture, history and nature, while looking out for wildlife such as seals, dolphins, white-tailed eagles or other seabirds. To round it all off, we use the underwater drone to explore the hidden world underneath the surface of the ocean. A taster of local delicacies from the sea will be offered on board.

• Ramfjord (variable duration - View from the boat)

• Holman Island (variable duration - Once a remote fishing station turned wartime outpost. During World War II, Holman played a strategic role, serving as a lookout and minor military base.)

• Olavsvern (variable duration - We pass Olavsvern, a decommissioned Cold War-era submarine base carved directly into the mountain.)

• Håkøya (variable duration - On our way back, we cruise by Tromsøya and Håkøya. These islands carry stories of WWII, including air raids and the sinking of the German battleship Tirpitz, alongside peaceful glimpses of modern island life today.)
