What to Expect

Embark on an exciting journey with our SSI Open Water Diver course in Punat, designed for those aged 10 and up. This course combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience, featuring confined water training and at least four open water dives. You will complete the theoretical portion through e-Learning, allowing you to study at your own pace from home. This method ensures more time for hands-on practice during the course, making your learning experience more effective.

This course qualifies you to:

• Dive to a maximum depth of 18 metres/60 feet

• Plan and execute dives with a certified buddy

• Rent or buy diving equipment in dive centres worldwide

Programme

e-Learning:

Your diving course includes essential e-Learning to prepare you for the practical sessions. After booking, you’ll receive a link to complete this online material. It covers key diving principles, equipment use, and safety procedures. Completing the e-Learning before the course helps you grasp practical skills more easily and is required for certification.

Practice Sessions:

On Day 1, we start at the dive center, where we prepare your personalized equipment before heading to the swimming pool. You'll learn how to set up and use your gear and spend time practicing in the pool. On Days 2 and 3, we’ll take you to open water for two dives each day. Your equipment will be ready, and we'll guide you to a protected area where you’ll conduct two shore dives each day.

Requirements

• Minimum age: 10 years

• Physical health

• Valid medical certificate of fitness clearing you to dive

• If you wear prescription glasses, you need to be comfortable wearing contact lenses
