Join us for an unforgettable experience with this hike through Norway's countryside, accompanied by our lovely huskies! Your adventure begins as you meet our team, where you will be provided with rubber boots and rain clothes if needed. After a scenic 25-minute transfer to our centre, you will be ready to embark on your journey.
Led by an experienced handler, you will start your guided hike through the arctic wilderness surrounding our centre, accompanied by some of our energetic huskies. Typically, you will share one dog between two or three participants, rotating the handling to enjoy some fun exercise, as the huskies are trained to pull. As you hike, we will share fascinating insights into the care and breeding of Alaskan Huskies and how our lives revolve around these remarkable dogs. The hiking route will be chosen based on the weather, and the length will be adjusted according to the participants' abilities.
During the hike, we will take a break to enjoy a delicious lunch by the open fire in our cozy Gamme-hut. Savour the traditional Norwegian dish Bacalao, with its roots in Portuguese cuisine, complemented by coffee and tea to warm you up. For dessert, indulge in some delightful chocolate cake. This hike is perfect for dog lovers with a moderate level of fitness who are ready to tackle uneven terrain while handling a dog.
