We meet at the Blue Gate also known as Bab Boujloud (6 Derby Mernissi, Fes, Morocco)
Embark on a captivating two-day journey from Fez to the heart of the Sahara, where you will experience the magic of camel trekking through golden dunes and discover the vibrant allure of Marrakech. Your adventure begins in Fez, and soon you will find yourself in Ifrane, a unique winter resort built by the French in the 1930s, designed to resemble a Swiss village. Next, you will visit Azrou to wander through the expansive cedar forest, where playful Barbary monkeys can be seen. The journey continues to Midelt for a lunch stop in this town, renowned for its fascinating fossils and rock formations.
In the afternoon, you will drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains, enjoying panoramic views including a vast palm oasis, before arriving in Merzouga. Here, you will embark on a camel trek across the dunes of Erg Chebbi as the sun sets, creating an unforgettable experience. Spend the night in a traditional Berber tent, enjoying dinner under the stars. The next morning begins with an early walk over the sand dunes to watch the sunrise, followed by a hearty breakfast. Your journey continues toward Marrakech, with stops in the High Atlas Mountains for panoramic views and at the Tizi n'Tichka Pass, the highest major mountain pass in North Africa. You will arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon, completing your extraordinary adventure.
