What to Expect

Discover the wonders of the Sahara on a two-day journey from Fez to Merzouga, featuring an unforgettable camel ride through the desert and the chance to experience the dramatic landscapes of the dunes. Your adventure begins as you depart from Fez in the morning and make your way through the Middle Atlas Mountains. As you ascend, you will pass through Ifrane, a charming winter resort town with architecture reminiscent of a Swiss village. From there, you will visit the cedar forests of Azrou, where you can spot wild monkeys among the ancient trees.

Continuing through the scenic Middle Atlas, you will enjoy views of forests, springs, rugged cliffs, and traditional Berber villages. A stop for lunch in Midelt, known for its fossils and unique rock formations, offers a delightful break. After lunch, a panoramic stop lets you take in the vast oasis of palm trees before arriving in Merzouga around 5 PM. Here, your guide and camels will be waiting to take you on a camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. As you ride, you will be treated to a stunning desert sunset, making your way to a desert camp. At the camp, you will be greeted with mint tea and a traditional dinner, spending the night in a cozy Berber tent under the starry desert sky.
