What to Expect

If you love adventure and scenic landscapes, our snowmobile tour in the Langjökull Glacier was made for you! This epic adventure begins at Skjol, the perfect starting point nestled between the iconic Gullfoss and Geysir. Here, you will gear up with all the essential equipment for your snowmobile ride. Adding to the thrill, you will travel to the glacier in super trucks, a unique experience in itself, as you make your way to Langjökull, Iceland's second-largest glacier. Upon reaching the glacier, our professional guides will provide a comprehensive safety briefing, ensuring you are prepared for the exhilarating ride ahead.

Once on your snowmobile, you will zoom through the breathtaking landscapes of Langjökull, with the glacier as your playground. Midway through the tour, you will take a pit stop, an ideal opportunity to capture stunning photos and, if you wish, switch drivers for an added thrill. This stop allows you to soak in the Arctic's awe-inspiring beauty, making this adventure truly unforgettable.

How to Get There

• Meeting place: we meet at Skjol Cafe by the camping ground on Kjóastaðavegur

• Meeting time: 15 minutes before departure

• Car parks nearby: at the meeting place (free)

• Return: at the end of the activity, we will return to the starting point

• Food is not included in the tour, but you can buy something at Skjol prior or after the departure

Requirements

• Driver's licence

• Minimum age to drive: 18

• Minimum age to ride in the back: 8 years old

• Appropriate clothing for cold weather (layers are recommended)

• You are allowed to bring your own drinks and snacks

• Not recommended for people who suffer from any back problems, or had any back operations

• Mobile phones allowed on the snowmobile

• The driver is responsible for any damages caused to the snowmobile

• Participants have to sign a waiver before undertaking the activity stating that they realize that all outdoor activities carry an inherit risk

• You can either book a snowmobile for yourself, or share one with someone else
