Join us on a full-day minibus tour to explore the Golden Circle. Our adventure begins with a convenient pick-up from one of our locations in Reykjavík, whisking you away to the quaint town of Hveragerði, just 40 minutes away. This geothermal town is famous for its steaming hillsides, where the earth’s warmth supports lush plantations and even backyard hot springs. Here, a quick stop at a local bakery allows you to savour a bite before we continue our journey.
Our next destination is the mesmerizing Kerið Crater Lake, often referred to as "The Eye of the World." This volcanic crater, with its vibrant blue-green waters set against red volcanic rock, offers a sight to behold. A short hike around the rim provides breathtaking views and photo opportunities. As we continue, we arrive at the iconic Gullfoss Waterfall, where the cascading waters create a powerful display of nature's beauty, plunging dramatically into the canyon below.
We then venture to the Geysir Geothermal Area, home to Iceland’s most active geyser, Strokkur, which erupts every few minutes. This is followed by a visit to the historic Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you can walk between the tectonic plates and explore the site of Iceland’s first parliament. With scenic views of Þingvallavatn Lake as a backdrop, you’ll learn about the park’s rich history and geological significance before we conclude our day trip with a return to Reykjavík.
