What to Expect

Take your surfing skills to the next level with our surf lessons at Le Helleux beach from 12 years old! Perfect for families, teens, and adults looking for an enjoyable and educational experience, our courses cater to all abilities, whether you are just starting or already familiar with the basics. With a small group size of only 6 participants, you will receive focused and attentive instruction. After each session, our expert instructors provide personalised feedback to help you improve. Our surf school supplies all the necessary equipment, including premium boards, to ensure you’re fully prepared. Lessons begin with a warm-up on the beach, covering vital safety rules and basic techniques, before heading into the water. Sessions take place on Gros Sable beach at Le Helleux, renowned for its gentle waves and excellent learning conditions.

During the course, you will develop essential surfing techniques, starting with paddling and mastering your stance. As you progress, you will work on improving balance, wave selection, and turning techniques, all adapted to your skill level. For more experienced surfers, lessons include refining sharper turns, enhancing speed control, and tackling more challenging waves. Under your instructor’s guidance, you will make steady progress while enjoying the exceptional conditions at Le Helleux.

How To Get There

• Meeting place: at our van at the end of the parking on Rue de l'Étang Gros Sable in Le Helleux

• Meeting time: 15 minutes before departure

• Car parks nearby: at the meeting place (free)

• In case of bad weather conditions, the lessons may be relocated to Souffleur Beach in Port-Louis. You will be notified 72 hours in advance
