Experience a private Husky sleigh ride adventure through the stunning, snow-covered landscapes of Lapland in Muonio. This exclusive experience offers you and your guide the chance to immerse yourselves in the tranquil wilderness, where reindeer, moose, and arctic foxes roam freely. Begin your journey with a lesson on steering the sledge, followed by the exciting task of harnessing the eager Huskies, ready to take the lead. Glide through a picturesque winter landscape, passing frozen lakes, snow-capped mountains, and dense forests, while enjoying occasional glimpses of Sami culture and historical landmarks along the way.
If you're sharing the sledge, one of you can capture the breathtaking scenery with photos while the other steers, and there will be a chance to swap positions midway so that everyone can fully experience both roles. After about 15 kilometers, you’ll stop to remove the sledges' harnesses and reward the dogs with a tasty treat like meat soup or a chicken snack for their hard work. You’ll have a chance to cuddle them before your journey concludes.
Warm up afterward by a cozy fire in the Kota, sipping hot juice and savoring Finnish pastries while reflecting on your adventure. This unforgettable journey, lasting approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, promises to leave you with cherished memories and a deeper appreciation for Lapland’s breathtaking wilderness.
