What to Expect

Join us for a full day guided Land Rover tour to the South of Basse-Terre with lunch. Set off in our robust Land Rover Defender, designed with an adventure spirit, to explore the beautiful landscapes of Guadeloupe. Our day will begin with a guided tour and tasting in a distillery, where you will discover the traditional methods of rum production. Next, you will have another guided tour of an artisanal cassava workshop, where you can taste freshly made cassava and learn about its cultural significance. As we journey through the island, you will be immersed in the discovery of plantations, including cane fields, cassava fields, and banana plantations, offering a deeper understanding of Guadeloupean culture and history. We will then head for the slopes of the volcano for a spectacular view of La Soufrière and the Carbet Falls.

At lunchtime, you can savour a Creole meal in a typical restaurant, for a convivial gourmet break. In the afternoon, enjoy a refreshing swim, either on a black sand beach or in a river with a natural pool. We will continue with a visit to a spectacular waterfall, before exploring the richness of the rainforest. The day also includes a visit to a historic site, immersing you in the region's cultural heritage. Finally, we will stop off at the viewpoint over the Petit Cul-de-Sac Marin, from where you can admire the islands of Marie-Galante, Dominique and Les Saintes. By the end of the day, we will have explored the municipalities of Petit-Bourg, Goyave, Capesterre-Belle-Eau, Trois-Rivières, Basse-Terre and Bouillante, a rich and varied programme for a complete immersion in the beauty of the island. This itinerary is entirely flexible and can be tailored to your group's desires and interests, for a tailor-made experience. It is ideal for adventure-seeking and culturally curious travellers who wish to see the very essence of Guadeloupe.
