What to Expect
Set off on the ultimate puffin adventure from Reykjavík’s Old Harbour aboard our custom-made RIB boats. This tour is designed for those who want a personal and up-close encounter with Iceland’s incredible birdlife. Each boat seats only 12 passengers, ensuring an intimate, small-group experience.
Late spring/early summer is the prime time to witness the vibrant birdlife just minutes from the city. Puffins, auks, gannets, and countless other seabirds dominate the skies and sea cliffs of the nearby islands. Our RIB boats are designed to bring you as close as possible to the islands. When conditions allow, we will turn off the engines, offering a peaceful environment to observe the birds and soak in the serene beauty of the area.
Throughout the tour, your experienced guide and captain will share fascinating insights and stories about the puffins and other wildlife. With a small group on board, you will have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and learn more about these charismatic creatures and their surroundings. How to Get There
We meet At the Whale Safari Office in the Old Harbour, 30 minutes before departure. If you arrive later then 10 minutes prior to the departure we can't guarantee that you can join the tour.
If you come by car, you will find free car parks nearby.
