Discover our Open Water diver courses from Saint-Gilles that will enable you to acquire all the necessary skills to become a certified diver! This comprehensive program includes five dives reaching depths of up to 20 meters, guided by a qualified instructor. You will start with a welcome briefing where the basics of equipment recovery and underwater skills are covered. The course includes theoretical lessons and open water dives along the stunning Saint-Gilles's coasts, offering the chance to explore vibrant marine life such as turtles, octopus, and colourful fish.
Our course is designed for small groups, with a maximum of 3 people per session, ensuring personalised attention from your instructor. This course is ideal for those who want to upgrade their diving skills and knowledge while exploring the beautiful underwater landscapes.
The theory component of the course, where you will acquire the basic knowledge and skills of underwater diving, is integrated with practical sessions. After your dives, you will return to the club for a comprehensive debriefing. This engaging course will leave you feeling confident and prepared to dive into new adventures.

On-site Theory Lecture:
You will learn all about scuba diving theory in a classroom setting at the dive centre with one of our instructors.
Practice Sessions:
We will meet at the dive centre, at the agreed-upon time, check you in and have you fill out the necessary paperwork, including the PADI Medical Statement. When it gets to your first practical diving sessions, we will provide you with all the rental equipment you need. The exact schedule of your course is set individually, based on your progress with the theoretical part of the course and on how much time you have to spare during the following days. We will discuss this on your first day at the dive centre.
