What to Expect

These beginner-friendly kids ski lessons are specially designed for children aged 4 to 12, providing a safe and enjoyable introduction to skiing in the stunning Feldberg – Seebuck/Grafenmatt/Fahl ski resort. As the largest interconnected ski area in the Black Forest, it boasts 29 km of slopes and the dedicated Thoma Kinderland – a secure learning zone tailored for young skiers. This protected area offers an ideal environment for kids to practice skiing in a playful and engaging way. With small groups of up to 8 participants, every child receives personalised instruction, ensuring a supportive and fun learning experience. Plus, a kids’ ski set, including skis, boots and a helmet, is conveniently included in the offer.

The lessons kick off with a warm welcome, where friendly and experienced instructors introduce children to their ski equipment and guide them through their first steps on the snow. In Thoma Kinderland, young skiers will practice balancing, controlling their speed, and gliding on gentle slopes using magic carpets that make uphill movement effortless. The area also features exciting wave tracks, slalom sections, and playful figures to make learning interactive and fun. The highlight for many kids is the weekly ski race on Thursday, where they can celebrate their progress and showcase their newfound skills.

By the end of the lessons, children will have gained confidence and mastered the basics of skiing, from their first turns to understanding essential movements. With a focus on learning through play and expert guidance, these lessons help children feel comfortable on the snow while igniting their love for skiing. The beautiful setting of the Black Forest, combined with a tailored approach to young learners, ensures a magical start to their skiing adventure.

Meeting Time

We meet at our ski school office, right at the foot of the Seebuck slope, 15 minutes before the start of the lesson. There, you will receive your course card.

Equipment Rental

Equipment (skis, boots, and a helmet) is included in the price. You can conveniently pick it up well in advance before the start of the lesson at our rental shop (Dr. Piletspur 13). You don't need to select additional equipment during the checkout when you book.

Ski Pass

Kids do not need a ski pass for all the lessons in our Kinderland.

Kids from 7 years old need a ski pass for the lessons.

Good to Know

• Please make sure your kid has skis, ski boots, helmet, gloves & sunglasses or goggles at the start of the lesson

• During our courses we are always wearing a helmet

• The children's ski race on Thursday (and Friday during high season) takes place only in the morning session

• If the minimum number of 4 participants is not reached, the course will be held in a shortened form after consultation with the participants
