Explore the unique nature of the Stockholm Archipelago on our full-day adventure sea kayak tour with swimming and a complimentary local lunch. If there is something you should not miss whilst in Stockholm, it is kayaking in the archipelago. Just moments out of the city, the archipelago unfolds its charm with almost 30,000 islands, making it one of the most unique areas in Europe. You will meet your guide and group at our Adventure Café, nestled in the heart of Stockholm, and set off in a comfortable minivan for a short drive to the archipelago. Our local, qualified, and experienced kayak guides ensure you are well-prepared by running through basic paddling techniques and safety information before you embark on a beautiful exploration.
Once on the water, the wildlife, rugged scenery, and serenity of your paddle will captivate you. The archipelago offers a diverse landscape, where some islands are large enough to house a village, while others are so small they can only support a solitary tree. As you navigate through towering cliffs and narrow passageways, you will be surrounded by abundant forests and wildlife. Keep an eye out for moose, roe deer, and red foxes on the larger islands, and during the summer months, you might even spot them swimming between islands. The skies are alive with the presence of white-tailed eagles, ospreys, and other migratory birds, and if you are lucky, you may glimpse grey seals fishing in the waters.
Midday, you will pause on the sunniest and most sheltered island for a delicious, freshly prepared lunch, where you are welcome to swim and sunbathe. Our guides are committed to preserving nature, so the lunch spot varies daily to minimize environmental impact. After lunch, as you resume paddling, the adventure continues as you explore further and spot more wildlife. As the day draws to a close, you will return to the minivan, pack up, and head back into the city, enriched by the natural beauty and tranquility of the Stockholm Archipelago. This offer is ideal for those seeking a memorable experience immersed in nature.
