What to Expect

Experience the true winter essence of Abisko on our snowshoeing tour, suitable for all levels, with a convenient pick-up service included. We will first pick you up either from Abisko or from Björkliden, and after a short ride in a comfortable van, our knowledgeable guide will assist you with the equipment. You will receive tips on how to move efficiently on the snow, ensuring you feel at ease as you begin your adventure. As you traverse the snowfields, the sparkling snow crystals and the serene beauty of the Abisko Valley will envelop you. The area teems with wildlife, and you are likely to see tracks of creatures such as forest hares, ptarmigans, and foxes. With a bit of luck, you might even spot the tracks of a moose.

Halfway through the tour, we will pause to savour some warm berry juice, while the peacefulness of the forest surrounds you. The only sounds will be the whispering of the trees and the distant fells. If the sky is clear, you will be treated to a breathtaking view over Lake Torneträsk and the Abisko mountain range, featuring the famous U-shaped valley of Lapporten. The tour concludes with a return journey, leaving you warmed by the experience and the hot berry juice you enjoyed. Abisko offers a genuine winter wonderland with top-notch facilities and stunning scenery, making it an ideal location for this snowshoeing adventure.

We offer free pick-up from different locations in Abisko and Björkliden. If you wish to make use of our pickup service, please contact us after completing the booking.

We meet in front of Abisko Guesthouse, 5 minutes before the start of the activity.

• Minimum age to participate alone to the activity: 16 years old
