We meet at the memorial of the 1902 disaster in Saint-Pierre (169 D10, Saint-Pierre 97250)
Embark on a full-day journey along the coastline of Martinique with snacks included. This approximately 6-hour hike, covering around 17 km, is a paradise for nature enthusiasts and hikers seeking a scenic adventure through diverse ecosystems. We will start by exploring the winding trail that meanders between the coast and the base of Mount Pelée, offering a delightful positive elevation gain of 800 metres.
As we venture forward, we will traverse a range of environments. Our adventure begins in a dry forest and gradually transition into a mesophilic forest, before finally immersing ourselves in the lush, tropical hygrophilic forest. Along the way, we will encounter a series of breathtaking landscapes, from hidden coves to mysterious ravines, surrounded by lush vegetation. Keep your eyes peeled for magnificent viewpoints and the incredible biodiversity that calls this region home, including some endemic species that are sure to captivate.
The adventure culminates at the charming village of Grand'Rivière, where we will enjoy a scenic boat trip back to Anse Couleuvre. Do not miss out on the chance to immerse yourself in the natural beauty and vibrant ecosystems of Martinique!
