This Guided Bus Tour with Lunch at Local Farm will take you to explore Iceland Snæfellsnes Peninsula, known as "Little Iceland". The adventure starts with a comfortable bus ride from your accommodation in Reykjavík. The bus is equipped with reclining seats, large windows for panoramic views, and complimentary Wi-Fi to ensure a pleasant journey. Our first highlight is Ytri-Tunga, a unique beach renowned for its seal colony where you can watch these playful creatures in their natural environment. We then head to the charming fishing villages of Arnarstapi and Hellnar. In Arnarstapi, a walk along the dramatic basalt cliffs offers stunning views and opportunities to observe abundant birdlife, while Hellnar provides a serene spot to enjoy the beauty of Icelandic nature.
Midday, we pause for a traditional Icelandic lunch at a local farm, where fresh ingredients and warm hospitality offer a taste of rural Icelandic life. Post-lunch, we visit the mesmerizing Djúpalónssandur Beach, famed for its black sands and Viking history, where the brave can attempt the ancient lifting stones once used by Vikings. Our journey continues to the striking Kirkjufell Mountain and Kirkjufellfoss Waterfall, a must-see for photography enthusiasts due to its picturesque scenery and unique shape.
As we venture into Snæfellsjökull National Park, you’ll have the chance to explore a lava cave and delve into the geological wonders shaped by volcanic activity. The tour includes stops at the quaint fishing villages of Grundarfjörður and Ólafsvík, each offering insights into the traditional lifestyle of the peninsula. As the day concludes, we return to Reykjavík, carrying memories of Iceland’s breathtaking natural beauty and cultural richness.
