What to Expect

Join a local guide for an authentic Northern Lights chase in the wilderness of Finnish Lapland. Instead of staying in one fixed location, we actively search for the best possible conditions and clearer skies around the Ivalo and Inari area.

Before and during the tour, we follow the latest weather forecasts, cloud coverage and aurora activity. Depending on the conditions, we may drive longer distances to improve our chances of seeing the Northern Lights. Every evening is different, so the route is planned according to nature rather than following a fixed itinerary.

Travel in a comfortable minivan through the dark Arctic landscapes, away from artificial lights. When we find a promising location, we stop and give you time to enjoy the surroundings and watch the sky. Depending on the evening, our locations may include forests, frozen lakes, open wilderness areas and other carefully selected viewpoints.

Your local guide will tell you about the Northern Lights, Lapland and life in the Arctic. During the tour, you can also enjoy warm drinks and snacks while waiting for the aurora to appear.

We keep our groups small to provide a more personal experience and the flexibility needed for a real Northern Lights chase.

The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and therefore cannot be guaranteed. Our goal is to use local knowledge, weather information and mobility to give you the best possible chance of experiencing them.
