You should wear warm clothing suitable for winter sports. Other accessories such as gloves, a ski mask and sunglasses are strongly recommended.
You must arrive at the first lesson with your equipment (skis and poles or snowboard, and boots). If you do not have your own equipment, make sure to allow enough time to collect it from the rental shop so as not to delay the start of the lesson. Some shops even offer the option of collecting equipment the day before your first day of hire.
Wearing a helmet is compulsory for children in some countries, but it is strongly recommended for everyone, regardless of age.
Unless otherwise stated, you must have your ski pass with you for the first lesson. You can usually buy one at the ski lift office or online. Discounted rates may be available for children or beginners, so check with your ski school to find out which pass is most suitable.

The activity Snowboarding Lessons for Kids (from 6 y.) & Adults of All Levels by Escuela de Esquí y Snow Sarríos in Candanchú is available every day, from January 16, 2027 through April 19, 2027. Each day offers 1 start time at 10:00. Sessions last 3 hours and are offered as group activities. Prices start from €58.00 per person.
