What to Expect

Dive into Merlins world and explore the fascinating upper Kobelache Canyon with our Beginners tour. In small groups of up to 7 people, you will start this adventure at the paid parking area "Gütle" in Dornbirn. From there, a comfortable shuttle will take you to the canyon entrance. Once you arrive, our experienced guide will provide all the necessary equipment and teach you the essential techniques for you to feel confident. You will even get a chance to practice abseiling before the adventure truly begins.

As you enter the canyon, you will be greeted with the breathtaking sight of waterfalls, and you will soon find yourself descending through them. The journey continues as you navigate through narrow gorges and slide down natural slides. For those seeking an adrenaline rush, there are optional jumps in "Merlins World," with the highest jump reaching up to 7 metres. However, if high jumps are not your thing, there are alternative routes to accommodate your comfort level. The adventure is tailored for both beginners and advanced adventurers, ensuring everyone can enjoy the thrill at their own pace.

With memories of an exhilarating day, the shuttle will take you back to the starting point. This tour is ideal for those who are new to canyoning and looking for a unique adventure in nature's playground, where every activity is adjusted to suit your abilities and ensure your safety.

How to Get There

• Meeting place: at the Gütle parkingspace

• Meeting time: at the booked time

• Car parks nearby: at the meeting place (paid)

• Transfer: we will transport you from our meeting point to the starting point

• We will take you from our meeting point to the starting point. If there isn’t enough space in the guide’s vehicle, participants may need to drive to the starting point with their own car.

• Complete high-quality canyoning equipment (incl. helmet, wetsuit sizes From XS (for ~150cm, 50kg) to XXL (for ~200cm))

• Transfer to starting point and back to the base

Requirements

• Minimum age: 14 years

• Minimum age to participate alone: 16 years

• Physical health

• Good swimming ability

• Surefootedness

• No fear of heights

• Somberness and not pregnant

• If you have contact lenses make sure you bring an extra pair in case they get damaged or lost

• Not suitable for toddlers, pregnant women and the elderly

• Not suitable for overweight people

• Please note that the activity only takes place with a minimum of 3 participants

• In case bad weather prevents the activity from taking place, you will be able to reschedule the activity

• There are no changing rooms at the parking space, but there are toilettes in the restaurant nearby
