About the Activity

Highlights

• Explore Kom Monastery, a 15th-century marvel with grand frescoes

• Spot Lesendro Fortress ruins, a serene bird resting place

• Swim in Lake Skadar's crystal-clear waters and enjoy local wine

What to Expect

Join us for an intimate boat trip on the scenic Lake Skadar, where you’ll take in breathtaking views and explore the historic Kom Monastery in a relaxed, semi-private setting. Sit back and unwind as we take care of everything – from refreshing drinks to a friendly guide who’ll share fascinating stories and insights throughout the journey.

Your adventure begins in the picturesque fishing village of Virpazar, where a brief orientation will get you ready for the day. Afterward, you’ll board a traditional wooden boat and begin your exploration. As you glide through narrow canals, you’ll spot the ruins of Lesendro Fortress. This centuries-old structure, often called "The Key of Lake Skadar," offers a stunning view and serves as a peaceful resting place for local birds. The highlight of the day is the Kom Monastery, located atop Odrin Hill and accessible only by boat. This 15th-century marvel is one of Montenegro’s best-kept secrets, with a grand bell tower and intricate frescoes that bring to life the artistic and spiritual heritage of medieval Montenegro.

On the way back, we’ll stop in a quiet spot on the lake where you can indulge in an authentic taste of Montenegro, sampling locally produced wine while admiring the pristine surroundings. If you’re feeling warm from the journey, you’ll also have the chance to take a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters of Lake Skadar.
