What to Expect

These ski lessons for children between 7 and 12 years old ensure maximum learning success for beginners in the snow. Our lessons are specifically tailored for beginners, and the Oberwiesenthal ski area provides the best conditions for quick progress. With our certified and experienced ski instructors, children learn in a safe and pleasant environment and have lots of fun on the slopes.

First, the children familiarize themselves with their equipment, which is essential to gain confidence in the snow. Then they move on to fun exercises that focus on gliding and braking techniques. Thanks to the age-appropriate exercises from the ski instructors, it does not take long before the young skiers make their first turns.

Throughout the course, the children are divided into small groups of 4-8 participants, which ensures safety, individual attention, and personalized feedback from the ski instructors. This guarantees that they receive the knowledge and skills they need to progress confidently. The friendly atmosphere in Oberwiesenthal with its beautiful alpine landscape enriches the learning experience and makes it an unforgettable introduction to skiing.

Meeting Time

We meet at the "Starthaus" directly at the main ski slope just below the ice skating rink, 15 minutes before the start of the lesson. If you booked with ski rental, please pick up your equipment at the rental shop an hour before the start of the lesson.

Lunch Care

The lunch break takes place between 12:00 and 13:30. The children can be picked up at the meeting point at the "Starthaus" and brought back there after the break.

Equipment Rental

If you need rental equipment, please add it to your shopping cart during the checkout process when booking.

The equipment you booked can be conveniently collected at the ski rental shop. We recommend that you pick up your equipment at our rental shop from 4 p.m. on the day before.

Ski Pass

First-timers do not need a ski pass for the first day of the lessons. The instructor will advise you when to buy the ski pass.

Good to Know

• For the Christmas holidays & school holidays in February, we recommend you book early in advance due to high demand

• Please make sure your kid has skis, ski boots, helmet, gloves & sunglasses or goggles at the start of the lesson

• If the minimum number of 4 participants is not reached, the course time will be shortened.
