At the "Starthaus" directly at the main ski slope just below the ice skating rink (Vierenstraße 8, 09484 Oberwiesenthal)
This snowboarding course for children aged 8 to 12 is perfect for beginners and experienced snowboarders looking to improve their technique. In the picturesque setting of Oberwiesenthal, your children will make quick progress and soon feel confident on the snow. The resort offers a dedicated area and easy slopes suitable for beginners, while more experienced children can try out challenging runs and the snowpark. Taught by highly trained snowboarding instructors, children will learn the techniques on the board and new tricks through play.
The lessons begin for beginners with an introduction to basic snowboarding techniques, helping each child become familiar with their equipment. This crucial foundation helps them gain balance and control, essential for safe and effective snowboarding. Throughout the session, the children practice their first turns on beginner slopes and learn to navigate the terrain with ease and confidence. These skills are important as they form the basis for more advanced techniques.
For those with more experience, the focus is on improving parallel riding, mastering steeper runs, and refining their technique. In small groups of 4 to 8 participants, divided by age and ability, children receive personal attention and targeted coaching. The lessons take place on various slopes, including challenging areas and the snowpark, which provide a dynamic environment to practice and enhance their skills. These small group sizes ensure each child receives the necessary guidance to make rapid progress and enjoy their time on the slopes.
