What to expect
Our group ski lessons for kids and teenagers aged 6 to 16 are a great way to discover the fun of skiing or take existing skills to the next level! Set in the Catalan Pyrenees, La Molina offers a variety of slopes and facilities for skiers of different abilities. The resort's ski lifts and base area provide a convenient starting point for each lesson. Beginners will start on suitable gentle slopes, where they will learn the basics of skiing, including how to maintain their balance, control their speed and make their first turns. These fundamental skills help them build confidence and develop a solid foundation for further progress.
As the day progresses, intermediate skiers will work on their parallel skiing technique, improve their turns and practise skiing on steeper slopes suited to their ability. The focus is on developing better control, managing speed and gaining confidence on different types of terrain. Advanced skiers will refine their technique and practise handling more challenging slopes under the guidance of experienced instructors. If kids make quick progress during the course, they may have the opportunity to move to a different level, allowing them to continue learning at a pace that suits their abilities.
Courses are organised by age and skill level, allowing kids to learn at their own pace in a supportive group setting. A minimum of 4 participants is required for the course to take place. Lessons are available at weekends and during holidays, giving participants the opportunity to develop their skiing skills in a structured and enjoyable environment. Throughout the course, instructors adapt the exercises and choice of slopes to the group's ability and progress, helping each kid improve their technique, build confidence and enjoy their time on the snow.
