What to Expect
With our kids ski lessons in Courchevel 1850, young skiers are in safe hands as they take their first steps on the snow!
From the Children's Village, we offer a programme tailored to children aged 3 and over. The youngest children will start with the Piou-Piou Club in a secure area where they will discover skiing through games and fun activities. Under the watchful eye of our experienced instructors, they will gradually gain confidence on their skis until they are able to make their first runs at their own pace.
From the age of 4, children move up to the Ourson level: the first few days are spent in this secure area, to (re)gain confidence on skis, before heading out onto the slopes to tackle their first green runs. If your child already has some skiing experience, from the Flocon level onwards, lessons take place directly on the slopes. There, they will progress at a gentle pace and learn to master techniques such as the snowplough and braking.
During the French school holidays, we also offer a special Top 6 course limited to six participants per instructor, for even faster progress. As these courses are only available on a full-day basis, we recommend them for children aged 4 and over and the Ourson level.
Meeting Time
We meet at the Children's Village, 15 minutes before the start of the lesson.
In the morning, children can be dropped off from 9 am; in the afternoon, from 2 pm.
Lunch Care
At lunchtime, we offer a supervised lunch break between 12 and 2 pm at a cost of €35 (meal included) per day, to be paid on site.
Ski Pass
Children enrolled in the Piou-Piou course at the Children's Village do not need a ski pass.
Children enrolled in the Ourson level will be able to go on the slopes at the end of the week; the instructor will let you know when to buy the ski pass. For levels from Flocon upwards, a ski pass is required from the very first day of skiing.
Good to know: the ski pass is free for children under 5 and can be collected from the ski lift ticket office with proof of age.
