These private ski lessons in Engelberg are specially designed for all skiers over the age of 50, who would like to feel more confident on skis and improve their skiing technique. The lessons are also perfect if you had some years away from skiing and want to get started again.
Thanks to my years of experience in ski and sports teaching with adults 50+ I can help you realize your goals and build more confidence on all kinds of slopes. You will learn to have better control of your skis with less effort and enjoy a great new skiing experience. Soon you'll be able to ski longer and get tired less quickly, resulting in even more fun while skiing.
The Engelberg ski resort has the perfect slopes for skiers of all levels of experience, so lessons can be tailored to your personal needs and goals. You can take part in the private ski lessons alone to benefit from one-on-one instruction, or share the lessons with up to 3 other friends and family members.
We meet at the booked time.
You need to bring your own equipment.
I (33 years) introduced myself to the course without any previous experience worth mentioning. The teacher picks you up with his lessons from where you are with your experience and adapts wonderfully to the level. Concrete/practical/comprehensible suggestions for beginners are made throughout the lesson to optimize the technique. The teacher will certainly demand that you be "healthy" in class, but will also adequately praise you, so that you can already see progress at the end of the class. The whole thing with insider information about the ski area and skiing itself. Overall excellent teacher! Absolutely recommendable - regardless of the level!
Rolf was very professional and patient. He explained the technique of skiing in detail and was very encouraging. Thanks Rolf, it was a lot of fun. Karen
My goal was to drive the corners more consciously, emotionally and safely. During ski lessons I was shown how to put my skis "flat", support the rotation with my body weight and thus keep my shins in contact with the shoe. The lessons exceeded my expectations. The various exercises generally gave me more feeling and self-confidence. I can recommend it!
You should wear warm clothing suitable for winter sports. Other accessories such as gloves, a ski mask and sunglasses are strongly recommended.
You must arrive at the first lesson with your equipment (skis and poles or snowboard, and boots). If you do not have your own equipment, make sure to allow enough time to collect it from the rental shop so as not to delay the start of the lesson. Some shops even offer the option of collecting equipment the day before your first day of hire.
Wearing a helmet is compulsory for children in some countries, but it is strongly recommended for everyone, regardless of age.
Unless otherwise stated, you must have your ski pass with you for the first lesson. You can usually buy one at the ski lift office or online. Discounted rates may be available for children or beginners, so check with your ski school to find out which pass is most suitable.
Generally, it is advisable to book lessons as early as possible. This is especially important during school holidays, such as Christmas and February, when lessons can fill up quickly.
Yes, the lessons are suitable for all levels of experience, including complete beginners. The instructor adapts the content of the lesson to your personal needs and goals.
These lessons are specially designed for skiers over 50. They are also perfect for anyone who wants to get back into skiing after a few years away.

Although the lessons are designed for skiers over 50, younger adults are also welcome. A 33-year-old participant, for example, was very satisfied with the course.
