What to Expect
Germany's highest summit, Zugspitze, explored from the Austrian side - our kids & adults snowboarding lessons for first timers in Ehrwald make it possible. A lot of fun and action awaits all snowboard enthusiasts. Not only you will learn a new winter sport or improve your techniques, but also you will build friendships with your peers of the same age.
Our top-trained snowboard instructors will provide you with an unforgettable experience with great learning output! To achieve the greatest progress possible, the groups are divided according to age and skill level. First-timers try to stand up and hold the balance on the board. For sure, they will also approach their first turns on the front- and backside.
Meeting Time
On the first day, we will meet 30 minutes before the course starts at the meeting place of the ski school at the top station of the Ehrwald Almbahn, opposite the Tirolerhaus. It is not reachable by car; you have to take the lift from the bottom station of the Ehrwalder Almbahn.
Lunch Care
Lunch care including meals can be booked on-site for an extra charge. In this case, the children go together with their snowboard instructor from 11:50 am to 2:00 pm to the Restaurant Tirolerhaus.
Ski Pass
All participants need a ski pass from the first day of the lessons. You can buy your ski pass at the ski lift ticket office or online before the first lesson.
The Ehrwald Ski and Snowboard School is extremely well-organized. Despite the peak season (Carnival), there was no chaos and no delayed start times. Each day, the entire group was divided into ability-based groups, which were even adjusted during the day as needed, ensuring that participants always received instruction tailored to their individual needs. Of course, this is only possible if there are enough instructors, which is definitely the case at this ski school. Everyone was motivated, attentive, and friendly. The size of the ski school might initially suggest mass processing, but this is definitely not the case. Since most of the instructors seem to be Dutch, it was initially a little difficult for the few non-Dutch participants to follow along. Ultimately, the course was conducted primarily in English, which worked out perfectly. We can wholeheartedly recommend the Ehrwald Ski School.

What should I wear for my lessons?
You should wear warm clothing suitable for winter sports. Other accessories such as gloves, a ski mask and sunglasses are strongly recommended.
When should I collect my equipment?
You must arrive at the first lesson with your equipment (skis and poles or snowboard, and boots). If you do not have your own equipment, make sure to allow enough time to collect it from the rental shop so as not to delay the start of the lesson. Some shops even offer the option of collecting equipment the day before your first day of hire.
Do I need to wear a helmet?
Wearing a helmet is compulsory for children in some countries, but it is strongly recommended for everyone, regardless of age.
Where can I buy a ski pass?
