What to expect
Attention, little speedsters! You’ve come to the right place if you’re looking for fun and action. All beginner skiers aged between 5 and 15 are very welcome on this beginners’ ski course. In our ski school, the maximum group size is 7 children. This ensures that the ski instructor has enough time for each of you and that you’ll soon be whizzing down the slopes like a star. A special highlight is the prize-giving ceremony at the end of the course week, where all children receive a medal, a certificate and a free portion of chips!

Getting there
You will usually be told the meeting point for the ski course over the phone and when you book the course in person. Please note that the meeting point for beginners’ courses is approximately 3 kilometres from our ski school office/equipment hire. Please allow plenty of time, especially at weekends and during the holidays.

Ski pass
All participants need a ski pass from the first day of the lessons. It's not included in the price.
On site, there is a small selection of day passes for the whole ski area and for the beginner lifts. For guests staying a week, we recommend multi-day or family passes, which you can get at the hotel (please check in advance) or at the main ticket office at Schelpenalp.
Our children learned to ski in two days. That's our story. We would have loved to do a five-day course, but it was expensive.

You should wear warm clothing suitable for winter sports. Other accessories such as gloves, a ski mask and sunglasses are strongly recommended.
When should I collect my equipment?
You must arrive at the first lesson with your equipment (skis and poles or snowboard, and boots). If you do not have your own equipment, make sure to allow enough time to collect it from the rental shop so as not to delay the start of the lesson. Some shops even offer the option of collecting equipment the day before your first day of hire.
