In our cross-country skiing lessons for beginners, we combine fun with a full-body workout. The Ötzal valley, with more than 12 kilometres of cross-country trails, offers the perfect conditions to enjoy your first cross country skiing experience.
In these lessons, we aim to teach the basics of cross-country skiing with fun and laughter. Beginners learn the right technique of gliding, pushing and braking in our basic course. Apart from being incredibly fun and relaxing, cross country skiing also greatly improves the overall condition.
Meeting time
We meet at 1:40 pm at our main office in Haus Kuraten (Piccardweg 1, 6456 Gurgl).
Matthias guided us very well, step by step, towards the correct technique.

We had a small group of 3 and Mathias, our teacher, was very enthousiastic about teaching us the first principles of cross country skiing. The location of the lesson was easy to reach by bus (very short ride) or by car from Obergurgl and beautifully situated next to the river. One of our group was pregnant, so Mathias took extra care not to take any risks for her to fall. We had a very nice afternoon.
