Details
Want to put your coordination to the test? Try canoe-rafting on the Durance River and expect to get a lot of thrills by facing the rapids! Your state-certified instructor will paddle alongside you to ensure your safety and make sure you have fun during the whole tour.
Tour programme
- Preparation:
As you arrive at our base in Embrun 15 min in advance, you will be able to suit up and then get ready during your transfer in our private bus to the starting point. A quick introduction session by your guide will allow you to know the safety rules of your craft and how to paddle your way to a fun navigation. Note that the instructor will paddle next to you on his own craft.
- Tour:
Then, spending 2hrs on water on this inflatable two-seat craft will get you closer to the waves than with a raft and fits any type of paddling skills. It is more stable than an airboat and will benefit from the power and coordination of your tandem. Navigating more freely will allow you to take on more fully the famous Rabioux wave (class IV) and to alternate sightseeing with gentle waves on the Durance river (class II/III).
- Return:
After the tour is over, you will be driven back to the meeting point with the transfer bus and will be able to enjoy an optional BBQ with your paddling mate.
