This easy and fun rafting tour on the Salzach river offers maximum enjoyment for the whole family and is an unforgettable experience especially for all children from 6 years onwards. You can admire the impressive backdrop of the Tennen and Hagen Mountains from the raft while you paddle under the instruction of our experienced guide and let the river carry you along. We start directly below the imposing Hohenwerfen Castle and pass numerous sandbanks and rapids along the way. If you feel like it, you can even jump out of the boat and go for a swim!
Tour programme- Preparation:
We will meet at the reserved time at our outdoor camp (parking available, approx. €5) or at a meeting point along the way (to be arranged after booking) where you can get your equipment and change your clothes. If you're travelling by train, the closest railway station is Golling Abtenau. Pick-up from there can be arranged upon request. Afterwards, we drive with our bus approximately 20 minutes to the entry point, where you will receive a briefing by one of our guides.
- Tour:
On the route, that is approximately 10 kilometres long, we will pass sandbanks and gushes. In between, it is also possible to swim in the river.
- Return:
At the end of the tour we will drive back to the camp, where you can take a shower and change. The Gasthof Torrenerhof next door is ideal for lunch or dinner.
