All the equipment was provided, our guide (Aud) talked us through what we would be doing and what fish we might see, and then we were driven to the beach to start snorkelling. Aud checked we were all happy in the water and then guided us along the coast. I don't think we went particularly far, but we were in the water for a good long time, with plenty to see (including a shoal of barracuda!). Some parts seemed very deep and so it was nice to have a guide, I wouldn't have had the confidence to go there otherwise. And having done the tour we then had more confidence to do independent snorkelling during the remainder of our holiday. Just remember the 9:30 AM departure time. Friendly crew, and if there was work to be done, they went the extra mile. We didn't go in the water ourselves, but there was plenty of room. At the second stop, there was a barbecue. The captain personally cooked the meat and vegetarian options for the vegetarians. A table was beautifully set, and there was plenty for everyone, and it was delicious. Coffee, tea, and soft drinks were available at all times, and various wines and sangrias were served during the meal. In short, they went above and beyond, and it's not like they sail back exactly on time. We brought our bikes from the campsite, and we were allowed to leave the batteries (in a backpack) in the storage room, where someone is always there from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
