As soon as we set sail, we were told we wouldn't be able to swim because it was too windy, but we would be able to sail. The result? Everyone was lying down because the waves were huge, the crew was laughing at the situation, and we couldn't even eat our food because of the waves and the swaying on the boat. I think it's irresponsible of the company to let us sail in this situation. We know it's safe, and nothing would happen... but if you know it's going to be uncomfortable and even "dangerous" for passengers going for leisure, you either give them notice or cancel the trip. Our two person crew was very kind and clear on the day's expectations. We booked a four hour reservation for six of us, but the team told us to let them know if anyone started feeling seasick and they'd head back early. They let us pick how we spent our four hours and we hit the jackpot! The first hour or so we got very lucky and saw SOO many dolphins. They let us stay and watch them as long as we wanted. They then took us to a safe location for us to jump in the water and swim around for a while. The last leg of our trip was spent just coasting (and one more dolphin visit). They had drinks (both alcohol and non-alcohol) and snacks ready and flowing for us the entire time.
