Near Kufstein, the canyon is characterized by its exceptional amount of abseiling possibilities, as well as some fun jumps and water slides, and is perfect for intermediate canyoners as well as sporty beginners. Your state-certified guide will show you the right technique and ensure your safety while you enjoy a day full of adventure and thrills amidst the untouched nature of the Tyrolean Unterland. Tour programme - Preparation: We meet at our base in Erl, where you are welcomed by your guide and get changed into your wetsuit. You can park your car directly at the base. Then we take our minibus to the canyon, which is only a few minutes away. After a detailed safety briefing and abseiling practice, we start the tour with a short descent into the gorge. - Tour: Under the instruction of your experienced canyoning guide, you will master the various obstacles in the canyon. You can expect a wide variety of jumps, slides and abseils as well as an impressive waterfall. All jumps are optional and can be avoided if you don't feel comfortable. - Return: At the end of the tour we return to our camp in Erl. Right next door there is a recommendable restaurant where you can end the day with a well-deserved meal. After a brief introduction, we were given a wetsuit, a life jacket, and a safety helmet. On the banks of the Isar, the guide gave us further instructions and pointed out the dangers. I found it very convenient that there were only six of us in our boat; we had plenty of space to paddle and didn't get in each other's way. I've also seen other operators on the Isar with significantly more people on board. I really enjoyed it and it was a lot of fun. The guide also had a lot to say about the river and the local scenery.
