Jolien · CoupleATAustria "Canyoning in the Wunzen Gorge starts off a bit hectic (it's unclear where you need to be, who you need to see, what the explanation will be, and what it will actually entail). After a brief introduction to abseiling, a van will take you to the start of the hike. (Max. 5-minute drive). Once there, a steep climb awaits with all your gear on (approx. 30 minutes). Once in the canyon, you can abseil and slide down the waterfalls with a guide. The guide provided fantastic information and guided us well through this beautiful canyon! However, there's a lot of natural disaster (fallen trees and branches) throughout the canyon, making it difficult to navigate. This also means there's not much jumping, which takes away some of the adrenaline. All in all, a great canyon (which can be even more fun after high water or a thorough cleanup)."
