"We had three excellent private 2 hour lessons with Remy at Vallorcine’s La Poya base. It is the perfect place to learn with a variety of gentle slopes and not too crowded. All the ESF instructors were very friendly and encouraging, and Remy took me in just six hours from a total beginner to skiing down the slope by myself (albeit nervously!). He also helped my step-daughter, who already had some experience, to build her confidence and move onto steeper runs. The base at La Poya has a relaxed and friendly vibe and is an scenic 20 minute drive from the centre of Chamonix. If you don’t have a car it’s an easy train ride with a station right at the base."

"I can only speak regarding the teaching at La Poya, Chamonix. The teachers were very kind and very helpful despite it being a very busy period. They also recognized people who needed more help and provided extra support when necessary. The whole team was impressive and with just three days of lessons my nephew was ready to ski with us up the mountain. Thanks to all concerned!"
